Menswear Fashion Week – Gucci Spring 2016

As menswear fashion week come to an end, we look back at our favourite runway looks for the season. Alessandro Michele has brought a new retro inspired culture to the industry with reinventing Gucci with his own unique aesthetic. Michele showcased the new punk movement – florals! Floral prints are clearly not just for womenswear, as Michele embellished menswear with floral appliqués and patterns on lightweight fabrics. Silk pyjama styled pairs, wide leg trousers and neck-ties brought a soft touch to the runway and 70’s shades with tinted lenses brings a nostalgic feel as if Fez, Eric, Kelso and Hyde were put in a time machine and jazzed up by Gucci. Michele stayed true to the fashion house with reinventing classic Gucci pieces with his innovative and feminine 70’s flair.
