Limited edition Revamp hairspray supports education for girls in Africa

AG Hair is launching Revamp – one of their most popular hairsprays – in a limited edition, custom package. 50-cents from each bottle sold will raise funds for AG’s philanthropic foundation Women Leading Change, helping to educate underprivileged girls in Africa.
Educating girls is the key to ending poverty and promoting economic development in underdeveloped countries. Educated women marry later; have fewer children; and raise healthier, 
more productive families. Research has shown women reinvest 90% of their earnings back into their families, ensuring their children are educated, helping to reverse the relentless cyclical trend of poverty. As a woman begins to earn an income, she gains a voice as well as the respect of her community; and slowly, but steadily, the enormous imbalance in gender parity in Africa begins to shift.
Established in 2008, Women Leading Change has raised over two million dollars and built a total of five schools in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2011, WLC began working with Ganze Girls Secondary School in Northern Kenya. Since then, enrollment has grown from 150 to 500 girls. Dormitories in the school are dilapidated and in desperate need of expansion. Currently some of the girls are sleeping four to a bunk, with no facilities to wash. WLC aims to build one new dormitory; renovate the three existing dorms; and build two large washroom facilities with flushing toilets and showers at a cost of $200,000.
To help achieve this goal, 50-cents from each limited edition WLC Revamp will be donated directly to support the Ganze Girls Secondary School. AG Hair will absorb all marketing and administrative costs.
